Heat Index and Air Quality Policy
RLL has developed the following guidelines to help you understand when practices and games could be impacted by the heat index and/or poor air quality. RLL will post a message at the top of our website's home page by 2:30pm and email a communication when practices and games will be cancelled.
We will use AirNow.gov for Rocklin to monitor Air Quality.
We will use AccuWeather for Rocklin to monitor the heat index (RealFeel):
Air Quality Guidelines:
- 201 and above (Very unhealthy): Cancel all practices and games
- 151-200 (Unhealthy): Practices are allowed with no strenuous activity (base running, conditioning, etc). Games are cancelled.
- 101-150 (Unhealthy for sensitive groups): Practices are allowed but managers are to warn parents and players that if they belong to the "sensitive groups," they should tell their managers that they cannot participate in strenuous activity or games.
- 100 and below (Moderate/Good): All activities are allowed.
Heat Index Guidelines:
- 105 and above: Cancel all practices and games
